Regen Labs InstaZen™ is a combination of ingredients designed to steer your brain chemistry to a more calm and relaxed state.
Dihydrohonokiol-B (DHH-B) produces an anxiolytic effect by working to promote relaxation. DHH-B has been shown to stimulate levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that calms the brain and mind. With its powerful antioxidant properties, DHH-B targets oxidative stress in the brain.
Valerian Root provides an effective strategy to promote relaxation and reduce anxiety by binding to the beta subunit of the GABA A receptor.
Ashwagandha Root Extract has been scientifically studied to optimize cortisol levels and minimize anxiety.
Phosphatidylserine is a naturally occurring lipid that protects brain cells from oxidative stress, target memory, relieve stress, and stimulate exercise performance.
L-Theanine is an amino acid that promotes serotonin and dopamine in the brain thus enhancing relaxation by targeting alpha wave activity of the brain.

InstaZen® Key Ingredients
DHH-B (dihydrohonokiol-B) has been used in Asian medicine for centuries and is approximately 2,000% stronger than honokiol, the magnolia bark extract from which it is derived. DHH-B boosts GABA, a neurotransmitter that produces a calming effect by soothing those neural properties that facilitate agitation, turmoil, and upheaval. DHH-B also activates cannabinoid receptors which have a hand in immune systems, pain relief, and disease prevention, so activation of them reduces inflammation, relieves pain, and elevates mood.
Valerian Root is an herb and is rich in valerenic acid, isovaleric acid, and abundant antioxidants – each of which is known to reduce anxiety and promote sleep. The body’s chemical messenger, gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) responds to valerian in its activity in the brain and central nervous system. Valerian root also contained the antioxidants linarin and hesperidin, both of which have been studied for their sedative and sleep-inducing capability. In particular, the amygdala – the brain’s emotion center – has been shown to respond to valerian root with a balancing of excessive activity.
Ashwagandha is an ancient medicinal herb that has been used for more than three thousand years and also stands up to contemporary research and efficacy standards in multiple controlled studies. The plant extract has been found to be very helpful in calming anxiety, and specifically agoraphobia or fear of crowds in open spaces, revealing stress scores 30-69% lower than the control (placebo) group. Ashwagandha also lowers cortisol, the stress hormone, significantly.
Phosphatidylserine is a naturally occurring lipid that helps make up the cell membrane enwrapping every cell in the body. As part of the cell structure, phosphatidylserine is crucial to cellular functioning, especially in the brain. The method of efficacy is not yet clear, but phosphatidylserine is successfully used to lower stress, enhance mood, and support memory.
L-Theanine is a non-proteinaceous amino acid found in green tea and contains neuroprotective, mood-enhancing, and relaxation properties. In clinical testing, it has shown significant properties for reducing stress and anxiety in people facing stressful situations.
